I see an event that I don't think belongs here. What should I do?

At present, the best thing to do is send us an email. What kind of events can I post here?

Indie Craft Shows is a great place to post about an upcoming craft show or trunk show, but it's not limited to that! Other craft events are welcome! Our focus is to help promote events that showcase small, independant businesses and craftspersons. This includes but isn't limited to:

• Craft shows featuring independent businesses and/or handmade goods
• Charity events such as knit-ins, crochet-athons, or sew-alongs
• Workshops, lectures, or classes available to the public
• Meetups, Stitch-and-Bitch groups, or other open craft gatherings
• Crafty feild trips or outings

What can't I post here?

We like to keep things as open-ended as possible, but there are a few things that don't really belong here on our site. Listings are dealt with on a case-by-case basis, and if your listing is suspended you will be notified and given an opportunity to have it re-listed. Here are some general things we try to avoid:

• Craft shows featuring mostly imported or mass-produced items
• Private gatherings that are not open to the public
• Classes that require membership in a certain organization or competitive applications
• Events that exclude any group of people on the basis of race, creed, sexual orientation or identity, nationality, heritage, or really anything else.

Inclusion in the database is ultimately at the discretion of the Indie Craft Shows moderators, and removal of a show is not meant as a judgement on the quality of the show or event.
